Supporting the Duke University Marching and Pep Bands, fostering collegiality among student and alumni members of DUMB., and promoting the joy of music

The Duke Band Alumni Association (DBAA) is the official alumni association of the Duke University Marching Band (DUMB) and Duke University’s largest Alumni Affinity Group.

The DBAA supports DUMB in many ways, connecting DUMB undergraduates with DUMB alumni through a variety of programming — hosting events on-campus and around the country, providing career networking opportunities, launching fundraising and strategic initiatives for DUMB, and fostering a highly-engaged community of Duke Band and Duke Athletics supporters!

The DBAA founded and runs the Duke Alumni Band, celebrating its 22nd anniversary season – hundreds of Duke alumni, family and friends participate in the Duke Alumni Band each year. Duke Alumni Band members play at designated home and away football games, neutral site basketball games in major cities around the country, and at winter basketball games in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Duke Alumni Band has been featured in the New York Times, Duke Magazine, Duke Today, and Working@Duke.

The DBAA also founded and runs Guest Conductor Experiences, giving Duke fans, their families and friends a once in a lifetime experience to conduct DUMB in Cameron Indoor Stadium during men's basketball games. Guest Conductor Experiences have been featured in The News&Observer and The Chronicle.
